Why BlessMe exists
Before our second child was born, my wife needed a wagon — the kind you load up with a diaper bag, a toddler, and half a playground. We couldn't afford it that month. It wasn't a tragedy, just one of those ordinary gaps between what your family needs and what's in the account this week.
Plenty of people around us would have chipped in. That was never the problem. The problem was asking. Posting a fundraiser felt like begging for something that wasn't an emergency. Passing a link around felt awkward. And the tools that existed were built for causes and campaigns, not for a husband trying to get his wife a wagon before the baby came.
So I built the thing I wanted to exist: a way to say here is the exact thing we need, share one link, and let the people who love you quietly go in on it together. No campaign. No pity. No performance. Contribute anonymously if you'd rather. When it's funded, it's funded.
