BLESS ME

Terms of Service

Effective August 18, 2026 · BlessMe is a product of Austin Harman Designs.

1. What BlessMe is

BlessMe is a funding platform. Someone posts a blessing — a stated need with a real-world cost, such as a coffee machine, a course of physio, a winter coat, or the cost of a move — and other people contribute toward that funding goal until it is met. There are three ways a blessing is set up: you can request funding for something you need, set up a blessing for someone else and deliver the item to them yourself, or set one up that the person it is for claims as funds to their own bank account.

Contributions are collected outside the app, by Stripe. BlessMe is not the seller or supplier of the item, service or need a blessing is for; we operate the platform that collects, holds and releases the funds. By creating an account or contributing to a blessing, you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. Sign-in is by email magic link — keep your inbox secure, because whoever controls your email controls your account. You're responsible for activity on your account. One person, one account.

3. Fees

Pooled and item blessings (requests for yourself, and blessings an organizer delivers): the raise goal shown includes BlessMe's platform fee of 5%, added on top of the product cost when the blessing is created — so the beneficiary nets the full product cost and contributors always see the true goal.

Cash blessings claimed by a recipient: contributors pay face value. When the recipient cashes out, a processing fee is deducted, made up of card-processing recovery (2.9% + $0.30 per contribution) plus a 5% platform fee. Amounts round up to the cent. So the recipient isn't left short, the raise goal is automatically set above the requested amount to cover these fees, and the estimated net is shown when the blessing is created and on its page before cash-out.

Raise cap: a single blessing may not raise more than $10,000 (goal including fees).

Fees may change prospectively; the fee in effect when a blessing is created (or, for cash-outs, when funds are released) is the one that applies.

4. Payments, holding, and payouts

Payments are processed by Stripe; payouts go to bank accounts through Stripe Connect. BlessMe is not a bank, and card or bank numbers never touch our servers. Every contribution is held on the platform until the beneficiary requests a payout and passes our release checks. Payouts run through anti-fraud and anti-money-laundering gates; some payouts (for example a first payout, a new account, or an unusually large amount) are held for human review, which usually clears within one business day. We may decline and refund where we suspect fraud or misuse, and identity or bank verification through Stripe may be required before funds are released.

5. Refunds, cancellations, and unclaimed funds

A contribution is money you put toward a stated funding goal for a specified real-world item, service or need. It is collected outside the app by Stripe, held by the platform, and released only for that goal. BlessMe is not the seller or supplier of what the blessing is for; we charge the fee in section 3 for running the platform that collects, holds and releases the money.

Once a payout has been released, contributions are generally non-refundable. Before release we can almost always reverse one — email support with the blessing link and the address you used at checkout. We refund contributions to the original payment methods when a payout is declined by our review, when we close a blessing ourselves, and in the unclaimed case below. Card disputes are handled through Stripe; misuse of chargebacks may lead to account termination.

Unclaimed funds

This applies to a blessing set up for someone else who claims the funds to their own bank account. That money stays with the platform — it is never paid out — until the recipient claims it and passes the release checks in section 4.

The recipient is emailed a claim link once the blessing is ready, and has 30 days from that email to claim it. Halfway through that window, if they still have not claimed, we send one reminder to the same address. If no email address was ever on file for them, the window runs from the day the blessing was created instead.

After the window closes, the blessing stops waiting and we resolve it. The default — and what happens in almost every case — is that we refund every contribution to the payment method it came from. Where contributions cannot be returned (an expired or closed card, a charge older than Stripe will reverse, or refunds that keep failing), or where refunding would otherwise leave the money sitting on the platform indefinitely, the remaining funds are transferred instead to a partner organisation. That transfer is net of the fees already charged on those contributions — the same net amount the recipient would have received had they claimed — and no further fee is taken for resolving the blessing.

Nothing is transferred while a claim, a payout or a refund is still in progress. Whichever way a blessing is resolved, its public page says what happened, and we email the contributors and the organizer. Funds are never left sitting unclaimed indefinitely.

6. Acceptable use

BlessMe is for personal blessings. You may not use it for anything illegal, for raising money for weapons, drugs, or other prohibited goods, for fraud or money laundering, for harassment or hate, for sexual content involving minors (zero tolerance — reported to NCMEC), or to collect charitable donations you are not licensed to collect. Content posted to BlessMe is subject to automated screening and to human review, and anything reported to us is read by a person. Violations are removed, and we may suspend or ban accounts, hold or reverse payouts, and report to law enforcement.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post (labels, descriptions, images, notes). You give us a license to host and display it so the service works — including on public blessing pages and share links you create. Don't post content you don't have the right to share.

8. Privacy

Our privacy policy covers what we collect and why. Highlights: contributions can be anonymous (we don't store contributor name or message when you choose anonymous); you can delete your account from Settings in the app or from your Account page on the web, and deletion is immediate and permanent, with no waiting period and no way back. Email support for a copy of your data. A payment record with no personal information in it is kept for as long as the law requires, then removed automatically — see the support page for the detail.

9. Service changes and termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, and may terminate accounts that violate these terms. You can close your account whenever you like; held funds are resolved (released or refunded) per section 5 before closure completes.

10. Disclaimers and liability

BlessMe is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee a blessing will reach its goal, that a recipient will claim it, or uninterrupted service. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Austin Harman Designs' total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the acts of contributors, organizers, or recipients.

11. Disputes and governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Ohio, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date, and continued use after that date is acceptance.
