BlessMe is a product of Austin Harman Designs. Everything on this page works whether or not you're signed in.
Contact us
Email [email protected] — that's a real inbox monitored by the people who build BlessMe, not a ticket maze.
Response time: we reply within 24 hours — the same window we promise on reports in the app. Anything involving money that's already moved (a payout under review, a refund, a disputed charge) is answered first.
So we can help on the first reply, include:
- the email address on your account;
- the blessing's share link, if it's about a specific blessing;
- what you expected to happen and what happened instead.
Please don't email card numbers or bank details. We never ask for them — card and bank data goes straight to Stripe and never touches our servers.
Report a blessing or a person
Every public blessing page has a “Report it” link at the bottom; that's the fastest route, because it carries the blessing's identity with it. You can also email [email protected] with the share link and what's wrong.
Reports are read by a human, within 24 hours. Content that breaks the Terms — weapons, drugs, fraud, money laundering, harassment, or anything sexual involving a minor — is removed, the account is suspended or banned, held funds are frozen, and where the law requires it we report to the authorities (child sexual abuse material is reported to NCMEC). You don't need an account to file a report, and you don't have to identify yourself.
If your own blessing or account was actioned and you think we got it wrong, reply to the notice you received or email us — every suspension can be appealed and a person reviews it.
Delete your account
You can delete your account yourself, in one step, without contacting us.
- On the web: Account → Delete account.
- In the app: Profile tab → the gear in the top corner → Delete my account.
Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no waiting period and no undo. You're signed out on the spot, the account is closed, and your personal details — name, email address, phone number, photos, and the words you wrote on blessings — are erased. Signing in again does not bring anything back: the email address no longer belongs to an account, so a new sign-in makes a new, empty one.
Two things happen alongside it:
- If a blessing you own still holds money, those contributions are refunded to the payment methods they came from as part of the deletion.
- If a contribution is still inside the chargeback and anti-money-laundering window, a payment record with no personal information in it — amounts and dates, nothing that identifies you — is kept until that window closes, up to 180 days, then removed automatically. Your account is gone either way; there is nothing left to sign back in to.
Want a copy of your data first? Email us before you delete and we'll send it to the address on the account.
Fees
There is no subscription and nothing costs money to create.
Pooled and item blessings (a request for yourself, or a blessing an organizer hands over): the raise goal shown already includes BlessMe's 5% platform fee, added on top of the product cost when the blessing is created — so the beneficiary nets the full product cost.
Cash blessings a recipient claims to their own bank: contributors pay face value. At cash-out a processing fee is deducted — card-processing recovery (2.9% + $0.30 per contribution) plus a 5% platform fee. The goal is set above the requested amount to cover it, and the estimated net is shown before you create the blessing and again before cash-out.
The full fee terms are in section 3 of the Terms.
Payouts
All contributions are held by BlessMe until the beneficiary requests a payout. Payouts run through fraud and anti-money-laundering checks; a first payout, a very new account, or an unusually large amount is held for human review — most clear within one business day, and you get an email the moment it's released. If a payout is taking longer than that, email us with the blessing link and we'll tell you exactly where it is.
Payouts require a linked bank account through Stripe. If bank setup won't complete, that's usually an identity check Stripe needs; email us and we'll point you at the exact step.
Refunds
A contribution is money put toward a stated funding goal for a specific real-world item, service or need, so it's generally non-refundable once a payout has been released. We do refund contributions to the original payment method when a payout is declined by our review, when we close a blessing ourselves, and when a blessing goes unclaimed (below).
If you contributed by mistake or something's wrong with a blessing, email us straight away with the blessing link and the email you used at checkout — before the payout is released we can almost always reverse it. Card disputes go through Stripe, but talk to us first: it's faster, and a chargeback can cost the beneficiary the blessing.
Nobody claimed the blessing
When a blessing is set up for someone else who claims the funds to their own bank, the money sits with BlessMe until they claim it. They get a claim link by email, plus one reminder halfway through, and 30 days to act.
After that we resolve it. Almost always that means refunding every contribution to the card it came from. Where a contribution can't be returned — an expired or closed card, a charge too old for Stripe to reverse, or refunds that keep failing — or where refunding would leave the money sitting unclaimed indefinitely, the remaining funds go to a partner organisation instead, net of the fees already charged. Either way, the blessing's public page says what happened and we email everyone who gave. The full clause is in section 5 of the Terms.
Trouble signing in
Sign-in is passwordless: enter your email and we send a one-tap link. If it hasn't arrived, check spam, then request a new one — links expire and each new request invalidates the last. If the link opens the website instead of the app, open the app and request the link from there.
